Syncs Syncler-Glossar
Syncs are always assigned to a connector (system/application) and describe the execution of a process or task under this connector. Syncs have a wide variety of characteristics. They can retrieve data, change it, map it to a target and transfer it to a target connection. Execution is unidirectional or bidirectional and is scheduled time controled. The data record images serve as the basis for data exchange within the scope of the synchronization. Source and target data records are assigned to each other here. In the context of syncs, data must sometimes also be transformed in order to meet the requirements of different data models of the systems to be connected and to ensure the readability of the data. Examples of syncs are the synchronization of master or transaction data between different applications, the storage of files, the retrieval or reading of data, the sending of e-mails or the execution of a mail merge.
