openTRANS is an open standard designed to support electronic data interchange (EDI) in business transactions between commercial enterprises. It supports electronic procurement and is structured around XML schema-based standards. openTRANS is similar to the EDIFACT standard, which is also used for the electronic exchange of business transactions.
